ARCHITECTURE BY ALGORITHM. This model is part of a work in progress to create an architecture driven by a diffusion limited aggregation algorithm. This particular algorithm is the genius of Prof. Paul Bourke, an Australian, who has been responsible for a supercomputer network for his country, and who has done, among other things, a digital map of the dark matter of the universe.
I love the way it "grows" in a way that is intrinsic to organic life - trees, lightning - and could be used in places where nature as we know it on earth is not betoken. 3D models generated from this algorithm could be printed with the existing regolith, aerogel, or graphene aerogel, (the lightest solid on earth), or the blow-out hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN), to build future architecture for space explorers.
